Social – Ferguson Observatory – April 4, 2025

The East/West Rotary club of Santa Rosa hosted an all club social at the Ferguson Observatory in Kenwood, CA.

As we waited for the sun toset, we got to meet and social with members of different clubs.  The East/West club provided great noshes and drinks.

Once the sunset, we went inside for a presentation of our choosing. They presented 15 topics to choose from, and an overwhelming majority chose the Fermi Paradox (aka: Aliens).  Wow, a great presentation.

By the time the presentation was done, we learned the truth about alien existence and it was dark enough to look thru the three amazing telescopes. I felt like I could reach out and touch the surface of the moon.

In the end, I think over $1000 was raised for the Observatory.
