Opening The Meeting
While President Casey is in London, Past President Julia Parranto presided over the meeting today. Today is the annual Trivia Game!
Heather Thurber led us in the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Four-Way Test. Her Reflection was to think of a word for 2025 and make it your own mission statement for 2025.
Visitors:
Nathan Zaft, Debra Tsouprake, Stacy Royer, Emily Parranto, Joe Hernandez, Chris South, Mel Konrad, Gary (I forgot his last name!)
Sunshine Report:
Ginny has spoken to Nona Lucas. Nona says she is taking it “day by day.”
Announcements:
- Jeff Gospe says another $46,000 worth of batteries were delivered to Cherkassy by our German Rotary friends. Also, orthotic braces are being sent too.
- Kim Murphy says there is a food drive in her building. If you have anything to donate, please drop it by her office.
Recognitions:
- Ted’s wife, Deanie, just had her 80th birthday at the Inn at the Tides in Bodega Bay. Ted donated $80 to the Club
Caramels:
Debi Zaft brought in some of her homemade caramels. Kris Anderson paid $75 to get them!
Trivia, the 2015 Edition. The Teams Were As Follows:
Table 1: Ted, Matthew, Susan, Rose, Stacy, Emily, and Julia
Table 2: Karen, Dennis, Nate, Debi, and Jeanne
Table 4: Debra, Jeff K, Patt, Ginny, Ann, Kris, and Jeff G
Table 5: Mark, Mel, Doug, Pete, Gary, Bill
Table 6: Paul, Mike Steve, Paul, Dewayne, Kim, Fred, Sam, Curt
“WHO’S IDEA WAS IT TO PLAY THE 2015 VERSION?” was the primary comment. We could not play the original version because Mark and Mel have it memorized it. But really? 2015? Categories were Places, Art, Entertainment, Science & Tech, and something else.
It was the usual free-for-all. A lot of complaining. A lot of laughter. In the end the winner was Table 1. They split the pot of $187. Congratulations to them and better luck next year to the rest of us!
